Edson Evers discusses the future of media at Birmingham City University

Helping to support the next generation of PR professionals is something we’re really passionate about here at Edson Evers.

That’s why we were delighted to be invited to Birmingham City University’s Media Futures event, where we took part in a panel discussion and career advice day, alongside other industry experts from BBC Radio 4 and BBC3. Experts from other media disciplines, such as photographers and recording artists, were also in attendance.

We took part in an hour-long panel discussion with 3rdyear students from the university, who were keen to find out how to get started in the world of media in today’s competitive graduate market.

In addition to the main panel, we also led another hour-long session, where we got to talk one-to-one with students about how to shape their CVs, what research to undertake before applying to a role, and even how to sell their skills to prospective employers.

It was a fantastic opportunity to work with a great institution, and we’re incredibly grateful to all the staff at Birmingham City University and all of the students for helping make the day a great success!

If you’re interested in finding out more about the opportunities that we offer to graduates, please email our Operations Director Jane Woods at jane.woods@edsonevers.com.
